Here is the gem of our region- the castle in Ogrodzieniec. This is the biggest preserved castle in Orle Gniazda trail and is situated one kilometer from our tavern; it is also fully opened to the visitors. The travellers can delight in a beautiful view because the castle is surrounded by rock inselbergs and woods. Together with your family and friends you will be allowed to enter every room in the castle and stand on soaring towers where you can admire the picturesque view over the Jurassic landscape.

We've presented beautiful monuments which are closest to the ‘Black Dog’, but they would be nothing without the unique nature. The natural environment is so unusual here because we can observe the uncanny combination of diverse lie of the land with marvelous diversity of the nearby forests where rock ranges, single calcareous inselbergs or charming groves can be met. If you visit us (it does not matter which season you will choose), we are sure that you will be bewitched by the beauty of the landscape. The local nature is easily accessible and, as it is in case of castles, concentrated on the land which can be easily explored. All these features cause that the most demanding tourist, even small children, feel satisfied. Okiennik (calcareous rock formation with characteristic window at the top) is the example of unique nature and is only fifteen minutes of driving a car from the ‘Black Dog’.

The next of the countless attractions of our surrounding is the castle in Mirów (only twenty minutes of driving in a car from our restaurant) which is another stronghold on the Orle Gniazda trail. The castle leans on the lofty, calcareous rock and is situated in a beautiful surrounding area which is cut across by thick, mixed forest and ranges of calcareous rocks. From Mirów you can get to Bobolice castle and it takes only ten minutes of driving a car.

Bobolice. This castle is the twin of Mirów castle and is an all-Poland tourist attraction. Thanks to the eminent architecture conservators from Cracow the restoration work, which is aimed at total renovation, is going on. What is more, both of the strongholds are situated in breathtaking area so what more could one wish for spending free time? The castles in Ogrodzieniec, Mirów, Bobolice as well as the ruins of nearby castle in Morsko or rock range, which are not far from our restaurant, form marvelous trails for hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing.
